Uncapped ADSL
Uncapped means that the amount of data that you are able to transfer across the network is unlimited
The speed of the transfer, be it up or down varies according to your package, check the guaranteed speeds.
A shaped ADSL package allows will give varying speeds during the month dependent on demand.
Unshaped, uncapped ADSL packages should give the maximum advertised download speed all day.
Be careful not to confuse uncapped ADSL with the speed that you will receive from your broaband provider. You will in all liklihood need to enter into a contract for a period of up to 24 months, so be sure you ask the questions. 1. Is the package capped or uncapped. 2. If capped what is the cap and what are the overusage costs. (these vary from R0.09 to R1.00/meg so be careful) 3. Is the package a shaped ADSL or broadband package.
